Tina Chow ran New York City in the 1970’s and 80’s.  Married to Michael Chow, the owner of Mr. Chow’s, she turned a lux Chinese eatery into a high end artist’s haven.  When she wasn’t rubbing shoulders with Basquiat and Schnabel, Chow served as the muse to artists like Helmut Newton, Steven Meisel and Andy Warhol, as seen in this portrait. As a member of the International Best Dressed List, it’s no surprise that she was buried in a Fortuny Delphos gown when she died at age 41.
