Debbie Harry has always been a bit of a dabbler. She was first known as the driving force behind Blondie‘s New York City-infused disco sound, but then quickly became a new wave icon in her own right.  And let’s not forget that she was the first female to release a hit rap record.  On the party circuit, she was a regular at Studio 54, Max’s Kansas City and of course, CBGB’s.  Stylistically speaking, she influenced an entire generation of new wave wannabes.  Her two-tone tresses inspired a bevy of teen girls to go against their mother’s wishes and follow suit.
